Boyd County Lady Spartans Down the EPPJ Wolfpack
The Boyd County Spartan Ladies ran their win streak to 7 in a row Thursday night by winning their match
Over Elgin/Elgin Pope John, 25-14, 27-25, 25-21. The serving was once again a strong point of the Spartan’s game.
Daydra Zeisler, Alex Brestel, Kalli Kayl, Gracelyn Adams each had 2 ace serves and Hannah Drueke had one. These aces and many other strong serves kept the Wolfpack out of system most of the night. When they were able to mount an attack, the Spartan defense dug the ball to the tune of 16 digs by Lauryn Hoffman, 8 digs by Mariah Smalley, with three each by Audrey Mohr, Hannah, and two by Kalli Kayl. Server others tallied a single dig also.
On the attack front, Kalli Kayl had 15 kills for a season high with Audrey having 7, Lauryn 4, Daydra 3 and Hannah 2. The night was not all good as Audrey went down with an injury and Alex received a “facial” that took a few seconds to shake off.
