The Boyd County Junior High Girls' Basketball team continued their season with games at Andes Central and North Central this week.
Against Andes Central, the team struggled to find the bottom of the net, despite many shots on the rim. Alaina McBride and Kyla McCarthy each managed a free throw each for the Spartan scoring in this 2-12 loss. In the second game, the Spartans found scoring easier in a 16-10 win. Mya Burns led the team with 6 points, Halle Boettcher had 4 and Selena Whipple, Tomi Wipple, and Cassidy Koenig each had a bucket.
It was the same story against North Central. Scoring was at a premium for the Spartans in a 10-25 loss in the first game. McBride led the way with 4 points. Kaylee Warnke, McCarthy, and Madilynn Nolan each had 2 points. The younger players again found scoring easier, securing a 17-6 victory. Burns had 5 points, Boettcher 4, and Tomi Whipple, Elly Zeisler and Gracen Eckert each added a bucket.
