The Boyd County Junior High Girls Basketball team traveled to Stuart On January 8th, dropping a game to the Broncos 36-7. Scoring for the Spartans was Brooklyn Eckert-4, Claire Reiman-2, and ReNae Kluckman-1.
On January 11, the Spartans hosted the St. Mary's Cardinals, dropping the first game 16-35, but playing much better. Scorers for the Spartans were Elizabeth Bernt-4, Brooklyn Eckert-4, Jaylee Lechtenberg-4, Ashlynn Finnegan-2, and Clair Reiman-2.
In the second game with the Cardinals, the Spartans jumped out to an early lead and won 8-4. ReNae Kluckman led the way with 6 points, followed by Jaylee Lechtenberg with 2.
The Spartans will see the Broncos and Cardinals on Saturday at a tournament hosted in Stuart.
