The Spartan football season is well underway and getting exciting. The Spartans came out of the gate swinging. Our Spartans hosted Randolph on Aug. 18 and won with an 18 point lead. On Sep. 1 the Spartans would travel to Summerland to take on their Bobcats, where they would suffer their first loss of the season. The Bobcats had a lead of a devastating 38 points. This loss wouldn’t be the beginning of a losing streak. The Spartans hosted Wausa on Sep. 9 and scored a well fought victory with a 5 point lead. The season so far has our coaches confident. When reached for comment, coach Mike Sanne had this to say “They’re not super stats, but 2 and 1 is better than 1 and 2.” Whether or not you’re confident in our players, this season is already looking exciting.
