2022 Ainsworth XC Meet Results

On Thursday, Sept 1, 2022 the Boyd County Cross Country team loaded up the vans much earlier than normal to head west to Ainsworth.  Due to Mother Nature cooking up a hot afternoon, the meet was moved to a 10am start.

The girls varsity runners were the first to lace up their shoes to run.  Senior Natasha Zeisler ran the course in 23:13 earning her the 8th place medal.  Jada Harmon, freshman, earned the 19th place medal in her varsity debut in a 27:33 time.

The boys varsity was next on the course.  Freshman Will Nelson earned himself the 7th place medal in a 19:12 time.  Fellow freshman Brook Strom also brought home the 19th place hardware in a 20:45 time.  Grant McGill, sophomore, took a minute off freshman time on Ainsworth's course, running 23:09 for 26th place.  Freshman Isaac Jensen crossed the line in 30th with a 23:41 time.  Sophomore Evan Hammon earned the 37th place with a 25:14 time.  Freshman Alex Lechtenberg placed 43rd in a 27:51 time.  Kaleb Kaczor, senior, completed the course in 35:07 placing 46th.  The seven boys earned 5th place in the overall team standings.

The junior high girls raced 1600 meters next.  8th graders Kaci Koenig placed 25th and Addi Janousek placed 26th.  They both crossed the line with an 8:14 time.  Lance Kopecky, 7th grade, competed in his first ever cross country race just missing the medals placing 11th with a 7:43 time.

Congratulations to all runners!  We're off to a great start.
