Mike Sanne, Superintendent
Superintendent Transparency Act
I grew up in Clearwater, Nebraska and graduated from Clearwater High School. While in high school I was always involved in a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. I received my undergraduate degree from University of Nebraska at Kearney in History and K-12 Physical Education. My first teaching and coaching job was in Lynch. I also taught Social Science, Physical Education, and coached at Crofton for 6 years.
I received my Master's Degree in 7-12 Principalship and my Specialist degree from University of Nebraska at Kearney. From 2001-2006, I was principal at Spencer-Naper Schools, with one of those years being Co-Superintendent before moving back to my home town of Clearwater. In Clearwater, I was principal for 15 years.
My wife Jackie is a head teacher for ESU 8 K-6 Learning Center. We have two children. Our son Tristen is preparing for his first teaching job as a 4th grade teacher at Andes Central. Our daughter Taylor is going to be a junior at Wayne State College. She is majoring in Elementary/Early Childhood and Special Education.
We as a family love a variety of outdoor activities, most favored are hunting, fishing, and ATV riding. I also am involved in some farming.
I am so excited to have a chance to come back to Boyd County. It will be fun getting reacquainted with friends, staff members, previous students, as well as the opportunity to meet staff, parents, students, and community members from across Boyd County.
